S. Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Ensures 180 Pumps are in Excellent Condition

The South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency ensures preparedness to anticipate inundation of flooding. A total of 180 pumps are in prime condition in this rainy season.

Head Section of Pump, Management of Flood Control Facilities, Clean Water and Waste Water, South Jakarta SDA Sub-agency, Heriyanto said, 116 stationary pumps and 64 mobile pumps are alerted in anticipating and accelerating the handling of inundation.

Heriyanto explained that the stationary pumps which are spread across 48 points, as well as the truck, portable and floating type mobile pumps which are spread across 64 points are in good condition and ready to be used.
"We prepare 280 personnel with assumption one pump is operated by two or five personnel," he added.
He hoped this preparation will reduce flood and inundation in South Jakarta, and speed up the handling.
